What is Room Material Planner?

Room Material Planner is a Luminesca project with free browser calculators for paint, flooring and wallpaper quantities. It turns room measurements and product-label inputs into explainable package counts. It does not sell materials, arrange contractors or represent a manufacturer.

Do my measurements leave this browser?

No. Calculations and project drafting run in your browser. There is no project upload endpoint, account system or cloud database. Ordinary page loads still use Cloudflare hosting. Room measurements and saved drafts are not sent by the Cloudflare Web Analytics beacon. See the privacy policy.

Which calculators are available?

Three calculators: paint (walls, openings, ceilings and full cans), flooring (combined floor area, allowance and whole boxes), and wallpaper (complete strips and physical rolls for free match or limited straight match). Guides and a methodology page explain the arithmetic and limits.

Are the estimates a guarantee I will have enough material?

No. The tools convert the measurements and product specifications you enter into estimated whole packages. They are planning aids, not a site survey, installation design or purchase guarantee. Confirm product labels, condition and your own measurements before buying.

Do I need an account, and is it free?

No account is required. The current calculators and guides are free to use. There is no paid estimating service in this release.

Are you showing Google ads today?

Not in this release. Room Material Planner plans to show Google AdSense advertisements later under publisher pub-2467377658764615. The site does not load an AdSense tag or Google Analytics now, and it does not claim AdSense approval. Cloudflare Web Analytics measures aggregate traffic and is not used to serve ads. Google's certified consent platform will be enabled before ads appear for visitors in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland.

Does the site set cookies or store my project?

The application does not set advertising cookies. A project draft is written to this site's localStorage only when you choose Save in this browser. Cloudflare may still apply technical security cookies when a security feature requires them. Planned AdSense cookies will not load until advertising and the consent platform are turned on deliberately. More detail is on the cookies page.

Why do the calculators need JavaScript?

Measurements, product fields and package rounding run entirely in your browser. Without JavaScript those steps cannot run. Field guides, methodology, privacy text and this FAQ remain readable with scripting disabled.

When should I use a field guide instead of a calculator?

Open a calculator when you already have measurements and a product label. Open a field guide when you need to understand measuring, coverage, package rounding, L-shaped floors or wallpaper strip counts first. Guides use synthetic worked examples; they do not process your private project.

How do I report a calculation issue?

Email editor@luminesca.net through the contact page. Include the tool URL, units, a non-private test case, expected arithmetic and the result you saw. Do not send confidential project details or a complete personal JSON backup unless you intend to share it.
